Social Intrapreneurs - An extra force for sustainability

This occasional paper, examines how individuals, businesses and Civil Society organizations interact to create sustainable value for business and for society at large. It focuses on the contribution that social intrapreneurs can make to this. Social intrapreneurs are people within a large corporation who take direct initiative for innovations which address social or environmental challenges profitably. The paper is based on interviews with 25 social intrapreneurs as well as with others who have studied and supported the work of social intrapreneurs. This paper offers a number of practical tips and questions to assist would-be social intrapreneurs.
